A subcommittee member raised a new-business request on Nov. 3 asking whether cursive instruction is codified in district policy or simply a longstanding practice. The superintendent said cursive instruction is delivered each spring, typically after MCAS testing, for grades 3 through 5, and that the practice is not currently written into district policy.
