Decatur SD 61 board approves consent agenda and personnel action items

The Decatur SD 61 Board of Education approved routine business items and personnel recommendations during its Oct. 28 meeting.
Dr. Clark recommended approval of the consent agenda, which included minutes from the Oct. 14, 2025 regular meeting and the Oct. 16 special open work session, the district’s financial conditions report and the treasurer’s report. The board moved, seconded and approved the consent items by roll call: Miss Bradford, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Hale, Mrs. Tyus, Mr. Wetzel, Mr. Clevenger and Dr. Lorenzen were recorded as voting aye; the chair announced "7 ayes, 0 nay" and the motion carried.
Dr. Clark then recommended approval of personnel action items contained in a memo from Monica Wilkes, director of human resources. The personnel recommendations were moved and seconded and approved by roll call, again recorded as 7 ayes, 0 nay.
The meeting also noted upcoming dates and offered condolences to district staff and family members who recently passed. The next regular public meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Kyle Administration Building.
