Dispatch hires, school-camera access and EMPG lapse flagged; EMS to migrate reporting software
Communications staff reported hiring two dispatchers, expanding access to school cameras, and a funding lapse in the 2025 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) that removed funding for 01/01/2025'0/09/30/2025. EMS reported migrating from ImageTrend to a new reporting system and proposed a part-time secretarial position.

Communications staff told the Sawyer County Public Safety Committee they hired two dispatchers (one in training; another starting Oct. 20) and are working with area school districts to expand camera access (Hayward and Hazel districts). The communications team is also meeting weekly with Gencom on the county radio system.
