Oak Park approves energy-aggregation agreements and a BYOB license for downtown pottery studio

Oak Park trustees approved several routine but material municipal actions during their Oct. 14 meeting.
Energy aggregation: The board approved a resolution extending a special services agreement amendment number five with MC Squared Energy Services LLC to continue Oak Park—s Community Choice Aggregation program through December 2028 and authorized execution of the contract. Staff and village consultants also secured a non-marketing and sales solicitation agreement with Interstate Gas Supply LLC (IGS Energy) that requires that company to refrain from door-to-door solicitation inside the village while MC Squared provides aggregation services. "We—re back before you tonight with this item...which is the same item that was considered in September," Lindsey Roland Araka said; trustees conducted a roll-call vote and approved both items.
Liquor license: The board concurred with the Liquor Control Review Board and adopted an ordinance amending Chapter 3, Article 8, Sections 381 and 382 of the Oak Park Village Code to issue a Restaurant Class B6 license to Kaya—s Creations doing business as Color Me Mine at 124 N. Oak Park Avenue (the former Oberweis location). Owner Anju explained the BYOB plan for scheduled events and parties; the license passed by roll call.
All votes on these routine items were recorded by roll call and approved with unanimous support from trustees present.
