The Pickens County Board of Commissioners approved a conditional‑use permit Aug. 18 to allow small events on a 30.661‑acre parcel off Inland Drive in Jasper, parcel 002001007, owned by Mr. Charles Ho Tink.
The Planning Commission had recommended approval by a 5–0 vote following staff recommendations. The board approved the permit with conditions requiring the applicant to cooperate with staff to ensure compliance with applicable safety protocols and parking requirements, to limit attendance to the maximum capacity set by the fire marshal, and to end amplified sound by 10 p.m.
A board member moved for approval consistent with the planning commission conditions and the motion was seconded and carried with no recorded opposition.
The conditions were read into the record so that members of the public present would hear the mitigation measures required of the applicant.
