The Katy Perry Scribe Board approved a one-time Head Start exception request related to the childcare food program after a motion from the policy committee. The motion was moved by James Higginbotham and seconded by Becky Atkinson and approved by voice vote.
The board then moved through consent items including personnel assignments and changes (members discussed missing attachments and online login issues with the meeting packet). Finance staff reported that October sales tax collections were up 21% compared with last October and fiscal-year collections were up 12.76%.
Separately, the board approved a motion to pay bus driver privatization costs in one lump-sum payment earlier in the meeting; that item was moved and seconded and passed by voice vote.
