Cliff, the Development Services director, presented a midyear report Aug. 5 showing heightened building‑permit and planning activity across the city. From April through June the department processed 11 zoning cases (8 approved, 2 denied, 1 withdrawn), issued 24 commercial permits totaling about $161,473 and significant residential permit revenue (~$498,000). Staff reported roughly 923 active short‑term rental registrations across zones and about $168,000 in STR fees tied to recent registrations.
