School board sets dates; VSBA representation confirmed

At the start of the workshop Chair Kathleen Brown announced administrative items for board awareness: the five-year forecast will be presented Nov. 18 (time to be determined) and a special discipline meeting is scheduled Nov. 18 at 4 p.m. She also asked for a volunteer to attend the Virginia School Boards Association meeting to cast the board’s vote if Mr. Culpepper is unable to attend; Miss Rogers volunteered and staff explained the sign-in process at the VSBA meeting.
Board members also heard a calendar note that a legislative breakfast will be held Dec. 4 at 8:30 a.m. at Bayside High School and were reminded of community observances in November.
