County’s non-voting CCSD trustee outlines facilities master plan work, enrollment shifts

Satori also explained that CCSD enrollment declined by about 3,600 students from projections, creating budget impacts for schools whose funding is enrollment-driven; the trustee said central office absorbed $36 million of at-risk funding to reduce impacts on individual campuses. She highlighted areas of emphasis for the superintendent’s evaluation (pre-K expansion, early literacy, middle-school math and college/workforce opportunities) and described community engagement and governance-training activities.
