Commission approves multiple routine and extension items, including use‑permit extensions and subdivisions

In addition to major planning items, the Zoning Commission approved a set of routine and extension items during the meeting.

Key actions included a two‑year extension for a resort‑hotel project originally approved in 2021 (applicants Shopoff Realty / McCarthy Construction), who reported installation of a perimeter security wall, ongoing status reports and a development agreement. The commission approved the extension subject to conditions, including removal of a crane and continuation of site security.

The commission also granted a first extension for a cannabis consumption lounge permit and approved a Murphy USA gas station project (Item 27) after the applicant revised plans to provide a detached sidewalk and additional buffering. Subdivision waivers and a tentative map for an 8‑lot residential subdivision were approved with conditions to maintain a rural character and address wall/landscaping concerns. Two temporary laydown‑yard permits supporting a long transmission‑line upgrade project were approved for three‑year durations with conditions.

A storage addition for an existing place of worship was approved with conditions requiring restoration of landscaping to 2017 standards, planting trees along the residential property line and limiting the addition’s use to storage. Several items were continued or held to future zoning meetings as noted on the agenda.
