Board elects Mike Brock, Evie Mauldin and Myla Calhoun to trustee seats
Summary
Following nominations by the Nominating Committee and a board ballot, trustees Mike Brock (2nd District), Evie Mauldin (4th District) and Myla Calhoun (6th District) were elected to continue serving on the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees announced the election of three trustees following the Nominating Committee’s recommendations and ballot distribution on Nov. 7.
The committee nominated Mike Brock to represent the 2nd Congressional District, Evie Mauldin for the 4th District and Myla Calhoun for the 6th District. After ballots were distributed and collected, Pro Tem Phelps announced the election results: Mike Brock (2nd District), Evie Mauldin (4th District) and Myla Calhoun (6th District) will continue to serve as trustees.
The nominations and election process were conducted during the Nominating Committee meeting and forwarded to the full board for confirmation; the record shows motions, seconds and unanimous affirmation by voice vote.
