Needham CPC reappoints chair, names vice chair and acknowledges staff transition

The Town of Needham Community Preservation Committee confirmed its leadership for the coming term and acknowledged a staff transition at the meeting.
By roll call, members voted to retain Dave Harrer as chair and to appoint Maureen Callahan as vice chair. Members offered unanimous support in the voice and roll-call votes used because some members participated remotely.
Lauren, the CPC assistant, announced she will step down to care for an elderly parent after about two and a half years in the role. She said she intends to finish outstanding action items and offered to be available as a consultant to help with the transition. "I've loved every minute of it ... but my mother's medical needs have just increased," Lauren said.
Michelle Jones, the incoming staff liaison and director of administration, said she will take care of the action items and support the committee through the transition. Members thanked Lauren for her service and expressed confidence in the transition plan.
