Committee hears three appointments and schedules votes next week

Kelly McLeod Shingen introduced herself as founder and artistic director of World Stage Theater Company and said she wants to bring international theater programming and expanded youth opportunities to Tulsa. "I founded that company in 2017... because I wanted to focus on my first love, which was theater," Shingen said. Committee members praised the applicant’s youth programming and international collaborations.
Erica Felix Morwick was presented for reappointment to the Municipal Employee Retirement Board; staff noted she attended 34 of 36 meetings during the prior term. Anthony Meadows spoke in support of continued service on the Human Rights Commission and described his work as an adaptive sports coordinator and former Department of Human Services social worker.
All three items were informational at the committee; staff said formal votes are scheduled for the upcoming council meeting.
