The proposed text amendment allows staff to correct scrivener's errors, minor technical errors, and omitted references discovered during continued review without requiring subsequent County Commission review provided those edits do not substantively alter intent. Staff recommended the commission forward a recommendation for approval to the County Commission.
The commission opened a public hearing (no public comment) and Member McMillan moved to recommend approval of the Title 17 code text amendment to the County Commission based on the 11/13/2025 memorandum; Member King seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Staff said they will continue reviewing cross‑references and finalize edits before transmitting the recommendation to the County Commission. The action is intended to maintain accurate statutory cross‑references and not to change the scope of existing county regulations.
