The United Nations announced that the General Assembly confirmed Alexandre de Kree of Belgium as the new administrator of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) for a four-year term. Spokesperson Steph said the secretary-general sent the nomination following consultations with UNDP's executive board and that the General Assembly acted on the request today.
