Plano resident asks city to require restoration of failing brick screening wall behind car wash

Scott, who gave his address for the record, said the wall appears original to the area (likely built in the early 1990s) and that homeowners and the HOA want assurance from the city that any replacement would be a like‑for‑like masonry wall: same height (7 feet), material, color and quality. He asked the city to require the car wash owner to rebuild the wall promptly and to provide a project plan and timeline that the HOA can evaluate.
The presiding officer noted the commission may only provide factual or policy information during public comment and said staff was not aware of any current case on that property; staff committed to reach out to Mr. Scott the following day for further discussion.
