Pulaski County commissioners approved a set of modest price changes at the county recycle and transfer station that will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.
John, representing the transfer station, recommended the adjustments and said a cautious step — raising the per‑pound rate to $0.10 with a $1 minimum — would be reasonable now with the possibility of revisiting again in six months or a year. He also recommended new retail bag pricing: 13‑gallon kitchen bags increasing from $1 to $1.50, 32‑gallon bags to $2, and larger bags to $3. Tire disposal fees were also adjusted to $4–$5 for car tires and $8–$10 for semis.
The board moved, seconded and voted to approve the changes, setting the effective date for Jan. 1, 2026, and asked staff to return with any follow‑up if market conditions change.
What’s next: staff will implement updated signage and billing and schedule a revisit of rates if conditions warrant.
