Commission approves trail resurfacing contract and several land-use votes

At the Nov. 18 meeting the Columbia County Board of Commissioners approved a contract with Southern Asphalt to mill and resurface Memorial Park Trail, authorizing payment not to exceed $150,000. County staff said the trail suffered storm damage during Hurricane Hilleen, the low bid was $120,537 and the county expects FEMA reimbursement for repairs. The motion was made by Commissioner Couch and carried.
