Board opens first consideration of zoning text amendment to align county code with state law
At a public hearing Nov. 4, Webster County planners presented a proposed text amendment to Title 6, Chapter 3 of the county code to remove subdivision requirements that duplicate state law; Planning & Zoning recommended unanimous approval and second consideration was set for Nov. 18, 2025.

The board opened a public hearing at 10:14 a.m. for the first consideration of a text amendment to the Webster County Code (Title 6, Chapter 3) concerning subdivision requirements. Jeff Johnson, the county Planning and Zoning Administrator, said the amendment was initiated by the auditor's office to remove county ordinance provisions that duplicate or conflict with state law and to reduce burdens on landowners and surveyors.
