Cowlitz County to certify levies with no increase; public hearing set for tomorrow
County staff recommended certifying the general fund levy at $21,281,720 and the road fund levy at $14,695,937, both with 0% increases over last year; two resolutions will be before the commissioners at a 9:30 a.m. public hearing tomorrow.

Kathy, a county presenter, told commissioners the county will place two resolutions before the board at a public hearing tomorrow to certify property tax levies with no increase over last year. The general fund levy amount to be certified is $21,281,720, which the presenter said includes $362,045 for new construction, $6,954 for state-assessed property and a refund levy of $79,020. For roads, she recommended certifying $14,695,937, which includes $289,005.91 for new construction, $3,067 for state-assessed value and a $51,028 refund levy.
