Commissioners approve multiple procurements, software renewals and infrastructure contracts

Denton County Commissioners Court on Nov. 18 approved a series of procurement, software and capital-contract items included on the consent and regular agendas.

Key approvals included: an exemption and renewal with Esri for geographic information services and the small-government enterprise agreement ($198,075); purchase of computers and related equipment from Dell Marketing LP ($333,897) as part of the county’s FY2026 hardware refresh; a three-year purchase of the Veronis software platform from Alchemy Tech Group LLC ($632,929.50); and approval to purchase four Chevrolet Tahoe public-pursuit vehicles and two special-services Tahoes plus emergency equipment (estimated $522,668.50 total).

The court also approved a construction contract with JR West Texas Concrete LLC for intersection improvements and a traffic signal at State Highway 114 and Championships Parkway, with a funding authorization not to exceed $2,712,894.85 (including contingency). Each motion to approve these items was made, seconded and carried unanimously.

County officials said the purchases tie to previously adopted budgets and cooperative purchasing contracts (DIR, TIPs and BuyBoard) where applicable. For one procurement (exterminator services), commissioners rescinded an earlier award and issued a corrected award to Seed Family Premier Services LLC (DBA Petmaster), citing a bid miscommunication.

Why it matters: These approvals fund ongoing county operations, public-safety fleet upgrades and a major road-signal project that the court said supports traffic improvements on SH-114.

Next steps: County purchasing and project management teams will finalize contracts, schedule deliveries and oversee the traffic-signal construction and related project administration.
