Ada County EMS: second yellow ambulance arrives; training underway

During the Ada County Emergency Medical Services District meeting, EMS leadership reported operational updates to commissioners. John Blake said the district’s second yellow ambulance has arrived and is awaiting final stenciling. Blake also reported EMS providers completed an intensive airway course related to cardiac arrest care and that a new round of field training officers begins their training immediately.
The board approved EMS administrative items earlier in the session, including the EMS claims journal (postdated 11/14/2025), personnel actions and renewal of a training-site agreement with the City of Meridian/American Heart Training Association. After routine approvals, the board voted to enter executive session under Idaho Code 74-206(1) to discuss a joint powers agreement; the motion required and recorded a roll-call vote.
