The Amelia County Planning Commission voted to forward a rezoning recommendation to the Board of Supervisors after hearing from staff and neighboring property owners about a technical boundary issue and the intention to preserve rural character. Planning staff explained the request would rezone 10 acres drawn from tax map parcels 71‑10 and 71‑14A to the R5 district and allow creation of two five‑acre parcels that meet R5 acreage and fringe requirements.
