County authorizes IT contract addendum and issues RFP for hazard mitigation plan update

Atascosa County Commissioners Court on Oct. 27 approved two administrative items: an addendum to the county’s LGS court case management contract and authorization to advertise a request for proposals for a hazard mitigation plan update.
IT Manager Justin Vasquez told commissioners the county consolidated LGS licensing into a single contract this year and the addendum would grant view‑only access to the Galveston County Attorney's Office to review district clerk scanned court documents; the change will add $100 per month to the contract but overall licensing consolidation produced savings, according to Vasquez. Commissioners approved the addendum and authorized the county judge to sign the document.
On grant administration, Tracy Barrera requested authorization to issue an RFP for planning services and grant administration related to a General Land Office hazard mitigation plan update. If approved, the RFP advertisement (No. 05/2025) will appear in the local newspaper on Oct. 29, 2025. Commissioners approved issuance of the RFP.
Both items were approved on voice votes and will be recorded in county contract and procurement records.
