On a unanimous roll call, the council approved Ordinance 12-33, a second and final reading amending the fiscal-year 2026 operating budget. Finance staff said the change records receipt of a grant tied to a 2020 FEMA/TEMA award and will reimburse previously expended funds into the appropriate fund balance. "We were notified from FEMA, TEMA, about a grant from 2020 that we're finally gonna receive the money," said Miss Qualls, who presented the ordinance. Council voted yes: Vice Mayor Tyler, Council Members Cagle, Ezell and Witt, and Mayor Williams.
