Budget votes: Council approved second readings and final adoption of multiple budget amendments that had been introduced earlier, including: - Budget Amendment 25/26-2 ($50,000) to cover repairs to Ecorse Creek drains and recognize state grant revenue; - Budget Amendment 25/26-3 (covering annual bond payments/interest; figures discussed in the meeting); - Budget Amendment 25/26-4 ($20,000) for annual claims expense; - Budget Amendment 25/26-6 ($291,000) to cover increased costs in the single-hauler collection and disposal program; and - Budget Amendment 25/26-7 ($28,000) to cover Clemens maintenance and membership costs for computer-aided dispatching. Zoning and code updates: Council approved zoning text amendments (TA2025-002, TA2025-003) to vehicle-use standards, site-plan review procedures and associated code amendments to Chapter 58 concerning secondhand automobile businesses. Motions were seconded and approved by roll call.
Appointments and study session: The council concurred with an executive advisory committee recommendation and appointed Reverend John Cole to the Romulus Board of Review for the 2026–2027 term pursuant to MCL 211.28. Council also scheduled a special study session for Dec. 8 to examine the Buckingham Manor Subdivision alley vacation after receiving a Department of Public Works report.
Warrants: The council approved warrant 25-20, authorizing payments across multiple funds totaling $1,011,585.52.
