Crook County accepts $150,000 CJC grant to fund deflection program
The board approved a $150,000 Criminal Justice Commission grant to support the county’s deflection program; staff said the award matches last year’s funding and a second part of the award remains pending.

Lieutenant Aaron Boyd of the Crook County sheriff’s office Community Corrections division asked the board to sign the county’s Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) grant agreement to fund the county’s deflection program. Boyd told commissioners that the $150,000 award is the same amount as the prior award and that a second portion of the award remains in process and is expected in the coming months.
