Capital Development Committee approves DOC capital-transfer to repair prison water systems
The committee unanimously approved a supplemental transfer of leftover Buena Vista sanitary sewer capital-renewal funds to support repairs and replacement work on water tanks serving the East Canyon/Canyon City prison complex; the department said the work will support domestic water and fire suppression for roughly 31% of its facility population (5,024 inmates).
