The Planning Commission on June 18 voted to forward resolution PC 2025‑09R — a reorganization and clean‑up of Chapter 16 of the Severance Municipal Code — to Town Council with a recommendation of approval.
Planner Josh O'Halla told commissioners the final sections being considered (design standards, architecture/standards, wireless/oil & gas/solar, and flood damage prevention) do not change substantive criteria but rearrange and clarify existing language so the code is easier for staff, commissioners and the public to use. “All that text existed today. It's just shifted up or moved into a different location,” O'Halla said as he reviewed the redline changes.
