Flagler County names representatives to Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

County administration official Christie Mayer explained three appointment categories: an essential-services-personnel seat (one applicant, Tammy York), a not-for-profit provider seat and a resident-at-large seat. Balloting by commissioners produced five votes for Emmanuel Roberts for the not-for-profit seat and three votes for Pastor Charles Salano for the resident seat; the commission then moved to approve both selections and to appoint Tammy York to the essential-services seat. The motion carried unanimously.
Emmanuel Roberts identified himself as affiliated with the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency; Thomas Acker, a current committee member, praised recent staff changes and signaled an anticipated in-depth presentation on county affordable-housing needs in the future.
The appointments will fill advisory positions intended to help shape county affordable-housing recommendations and forthcoming reports to the board.
