Stanton announces private overnight parking enforcement starting Oct. 21

City staff announced on Oct. 8 that Stanton has contracted with a private vendor to provide overnight parking enforcement.
The staff presenter said the contractor will train with city staff during normal business hours next week and that enforcement will operate from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Oct. 21. "The first week, we will be issuing warning letters. They will not include a fine, and it will be letting people know who received them that they are violating one of many Stanton municipal codes," the presenter said. After the initial warning period, full citations with fines will be issued.
Staff also publicly acknowledged Tanaka Farms for hosting a family field trip and for providing a positive experience for city families.
What happens next: training begins next week with the contractor and staff; public outreach materials (website, newsletter, social media) will inform residents about the enforcement timeline and warning period.
