County road staff updated commissioners on paving and maintenance work and proposed replacing the frequently damaged metal guardrail on the South Bridge with precast concrete barrier segments. S6 argued the current metal posts and knuckles are repeatedly damaged and costly to repair and described a plan to widen shoulders and install interlocking precast concrete units that would be more durable.
