After completing public interviews of director finalists, the Legislative Education Study Committee moved into executive session to discuss the committee’s position on the director hire. Senator Stewart moved to enter executive session “discussing our direct position” (public transcript); Representative Garrett seconded. The chair asked if there was any objection; none was raised and the chair stated the session would enter executive session by unanimous consent.
