Board approves consent items and adopts FY24–25 budget; multiple donations accepted

The Community Consolidated School District 59 Board of Education held roll-call votes on routine and fiscal items during the Sept. 11 meeting.

- Consent agenda (items 6.01–6.05): Motion moved and seconded; the board approved the consent agenda by roll-call vote.

- Donations: The board approved a $2,000 donation from the District 59 Education Foundation to sponsor parent workshops and a $3,460 donation from the Salt Creek PTO to purchase heart-rate monitors for the Salt Creek PE program; motions were seconded and approved by roll call.

- Budget adoption: The board moved and approved the FY24–25 budget by roll-call vote. Members recorded affirmative votes during the meeting; one member was recorded as absent for roll calls. Administration confirmed levy rules (CPI limit or 5% cap) and will develop recommended levy paperwork and a public hearing date (Nov. 13) as part of the 2025–26 budget calendar.
