Xcel outlines EnergyConnect route through Meeker County, easement talks under way
Xcel Energy told the Meeker County Board Sept. 2 that the Public Utilities Commission ordered a route in June 2025 and the company is beginning easement negotiations for the EnergyConnect double‑circuit transmission line; construction sequencing and landowner compensation were explained.

Xcel Energy representatives updated the Meeker County Board of Commissioners on the EnergyConnect transmission project on Sept. 2, saying the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission issued a written route order in June 2025 and identified the company’s preferred “blue” corridor through Meeker County.
