Atchison County approves 2026 budget items, appropriations and routine contracts
The commission finalized several routine items Sept. 23: approved keeping the courthouse open on Columbus Day, authorized a six-month Memorial Hall lease, posted a county counselor RFP, approved NACO membership dues, partially paid the Extension Council second half, approved a $40,000 health-department appropriation and appointed Deanna Lam to a regional environmental board.
