"We created a safety app with EMA that...if there's an emergency, we can tell you how many addresses, how many people need to be evacuated...any sort of information that could help pretty much save lives," S14 said.
S16 (David Farmer) outlined the county finance office earning recognition across three reporting programs — budget recognition, an annual comprehensive financial report and a popular financial report — describing the combined recognition as a 'Triple Crown' and naming staff contributors. S17 presented an 'excellence of service' award to Keeley Bowser, a dispatcher who calmed a 12‑year‑old in crisis on a 911 call, actions credited with saving lives.
The board also read names for multiple five‑ to 35‑year service anniversaries and recognized volunteers and county participants in community team events.
