County Sets Public Hearing to Consider Partial Vacation of Cherry Point Ranchettes Phase 4
The court set a public hearing for Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. on a developer's request to vacate part of Phase 4, Section 2 of the Cherry Point Ranchettes plat to allow an adjacent Saint Augustine subdivision to connect; staff said the city had no objection but the Sigelmans own the other half and outreach and legal review are needed.

Chambers County planning staff asked the court to set a public hearing on a request from West Chambers County Development Co. to vacate its portion of Phase 4, Section 2, of the Cherry Point Ranchettes plat. Staff explained the vacation would allow the Saint Augustine subdivision to connect through the area; the city reported no objection but staff noted the Sigelmans own the other half of the phase and recommended contacting them and involving legal staff before final action.
