The LaPorte County Sheriff's Merit Board approved promotions for three department members at its July 9, 2025 meeting. The board accepted recommendations that Daniel Diaz and Alexander Nolan be promoted to the rank of regular deputy and that Matthew Beal be promoted to probationary patrolman, with effective dates noted in the personnel paperwork.
