Julie Lehi of the county data center explained the migration will archive historical data and applications, provide additional functionality and security, and eliminate the need for biannual software upgrades — steps county staff said will reduce technical debt. CIO Adam Frumpkin joined the presentation.
The resolution was adopted by unanimous voice vote in the meeting. County staff did not provide a public timeline for cutover in the transcript; next steps recorded were board approval and the county’s request to proceed with procurement and contracting procedures.
