West Campus instructor reports GPA gains, CTE successes and donates Little Free Libraries to the district

Greg Eibel, the instructor identified as the West Campus lead, presented highlights from the academic year and requested the board accept a donation of Little Free Library units.
Eibel said the West Campus focus is academics and credit recovery so students do not start the next year with large credit deficits. He reported that six of eight seniors graduated on time, two juniors completed all high‑school requirements a year early, and the cohort GPA rose from about 0.74 when he started to roughly 2.11 this year. “Our focus this year is always going to be the academics,” Eibel said.
Eibel described career‑technical education (CTE) outcomes, noting students passed web exams and obtained summer placements. He said he applied for and received a $2,500 grant from the Pro Football Hall of Fame for character education, and that the grant will support a Little Free Library campaign; he offered three donated units now and said his goal is to place about ten throughout the Canton Local community and greater Stark County.
Board members praised the service‑learning focus and problem‑solving outcomes they observed during visits to the West Campus. The board welcomed Eibel’s donation and discussed opportunities to place libraries on district grounds.
