Orange County Board schedules extended work sessions, convenes closed session under FOIA
The board agreed to two extended work sessions (Oct. 6, 1–5 p.m., and Oct. 14, 2–5 p.m.) to advance district revisions and then approved a motion to enter closed session citing the Virginia Freedom of Information Act to discuss personnel, economic development, and legal matters; the board certified the closed session by roll call on return.

Board members agreed to schedule two extended work sessions to allow more time for substantive work on district revisions and related items that hour-long meetings do not accommodate. After discussion of availability and holiday conflicts, the board set the first session for Oct. 6 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and a second session for Oct. 14 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
