During the non-agenda public forum, Courtney Huddleston (ZIP 63135) and Michael Dreyer (ZIP 63135) each called on the council to revisit a prior council resolution supporting Israel and urged the body to support an immediate and permanent ceasefire. Huddleston cited casualty figures and reports from multiple international outlets and said she had provided the council with a resolution and supporting documents. Dreyer read a prepared resolution calling for a ceasefire and referenced news reporting and statements by international organizations; neither speaker proposed specific county ordinance language, and the council did not take immediate action on the requests during the meeting.
