The chairman added an item to the agenda to make an elected-official appointment to the South Georgia Community Service Board. The chairman said he had spoken with Commissioner Marshall, who agreed to serve, and opened the floor for nominations. With no other nominations, the chairman closed nominations and appointed Commissioner Demarcus Marshall by acclamation.
