Officials updated the council on a planned roadwork sequence for College Drive. Staff said Keaton Brothers Construction would cut concrete curb sections and prepare the roadway so Howe Paving can grind the existing surface and install an asphalt overlay. A speaker noted several water meters along the stretch cannot be ground over and the contractor will leave a 12- to 18-inch margin on either side of meter locations.
Howe Paving was tentatively scheduled to begin "two weeks from yesterday," and staff expected work to be underway by the next council meeting. Residents were asked to be mindful of lane changes and construction activity; staff said they will coordinate timing and traffic management with contractors.
