The Homelessness Oversight Commission took two formal actions on Aug. 30.
First, commissioners voted to adopt the minutes from the August meeting after a call for public comment; the Chair confirmed the ayes and the minutes were ordered adopted.
Second, the commission discussed and approved its rules of order. The approved procedures include a standing "commission matters" item for members to propose agenda items, and a rarely used Brown Act mechanism allowing a majority of commissioners to request and convene a special meeting if the chair declines to calendar an item. Roll call recorded unanimous approval with each commissioner responding "Aye."
