City staff presented documents for the Ward 4 council appointment process on Nov. 19 and the council approved them unanimously. The materials include a job description, application form and a cover letter for notifying selected candidates about interview dates. Staff explained applications are due by Friday, Dec. 6; a special meeting to interview finalists is set for Monday, Jan. 6, 2025 at City Hall at 5 p.m. The city attorney noted this appointment will fill the seat until the Nov. 2025 election, when a two‑year term will be on the ballot for Ward 4.
