LAFCO adopts executive officer work plan; authorizes mobility labor study with SFCTA
LAFCO approved Brian Goebel’s FY2018–19 work plan prioritizing Clean Power SF oversight, a labor study on emerging mobility services, exploration of municipal fiber and a public bank, and staff development. The commission authorized a mobility study in partnership with the San Francisco County Transportation Authority to examine labor impacts including taxi medallion holders.

Brian Goebel, LAFCO’s executive officer, presented a proposed FY 2018–19 work plan that commissioners adopted June 29. The plan’s top priorities include LAFCO oversight of Clean Power SF, a special study examining labor in emerging mobility services, exploration of public bank and municipal fiber opportunities, support to the Board of Supervisors on LAFCO issues, and completion of the legal-services RFP process.
