Supervisors move SHARP sexual‑assault office from Public Health to Human Rights Commission
After debate over oversight and staffing, the committee voted to transfer the SHARP (sexual harassment and assault response and prevention) program from the Department of Public Health to the Human Rights Commission, moving two positions and accepting recommended job classifications.

The Budget & Finance Committee voted June 25 to transfer the SHARP violence-response program from the Department of Public Health to the Human Rights Commission (HRC). Chair Cohen made the motion to move the program and specifically to move two positions that had been budgeted in DPH to HRC while substituting classifications recommended by HRC.
