Committee forwards HUD funding plan items for consolidated plan to full Board
The committee recommended forwarding a resolution to submit the city's FY 2015–2016 consolidated plan to HUD for CDBG, Emergency Solutions Grant and HOPWA funds and authorized release of a combined request for proposals; staff presented preliminary funding estimates and a timeline for an RFP and action-plan submission.

The Budget and Finance Committee heard a presentation on item 3, a resolution supporting the city's FY 2015–2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) consolidated-plan goals. Bridal Chu of the Mayor’s Office of Housing told the committee the city planned to release a combined request for proposals next week and submit its action plan to HUD in May to fund programs beginning July 1, 2015.
